An exhibition of images from Robert Yager’s award-winning, historic and provocative work, intimately documenting the notorious Playboys Gang of Los Angeles in the 1990s and early 2000s.
We’re honoured to welcome Robert Yager to Budapest for the opening event. This is a unique chance to meet the photographer in person, hear his thoughts, and engage in conversation about the stories behind his powerful images.
“Through this exploration, I delved into themes of identity, community, and the human experience. It is an invitation to look at elements of power and camaraderie that draws kids into gangs. A unique kind of “family”. It’s documented without judgement or prejudice. My hope is to provide the viewer an opportunity to go beyond surface appearances, to see their authenticity, rituals, art, lifestyle and some of the consequences of adopting this lifestyle.” – Robert Yager
