In Brides, Iranian photographer Babak Zirak captures brides from around the world, exploring how this universal symbol of purity, hope, and unity connects people across cultures. Over six decades and in more than 30 countries, Zirak has photographed fleeting moments of beauty and emotion โ where the sacred meets the everyday.
Born in Hamadan, Iran, Zirak is an architect and researcher specializing in climate-based and rural architecture. His passion for photography began in his youth, inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Andrรฉ Kertรฉsz, and Sebastiรฃo Salgado. His work often reflects his deep interest in people, places, and the poetry of everyday life.
