The Heart is a Mess presented a passionate and rebellious portrayal of Manzoni, departing from his traditional academic image. Intriguing anecdotes from his unconventional family life were woven together with characters and events from his literary works, offering a glimpse into his loves and intense feelings. It was a journey into the essence of Italy’s greatest writer, told with empathy and creativity.
