ARCHITEXTURES

Two artists – two worlds – two scales

Zoltán Popovits is a Hungarian-Finnish-American sculptor, jewelry designer, and honorary doctor of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. “These images have a deliberate simplicity, as Zen teaches, the mountains are mountains, and the rivers are rivers. The images consist of two elements: the white space and the black-gray toned picture. The formative power is the white. The white space shapes the world, not the appearing world. The white, fundamentally radiant space is also the space of creation, of creation, and of consciousness.”
